Good morning.
I'm working the Codesys 3.0 and need EDS File for AKD-P00607-NBEI-000/EthernetIP or configuration parameters.
Can you help me?
In the library http://www.kollmorgen.com/en-us/products/drives/servo/akd/ have only programs for AllenBradley

I will start off stating that we do not officially support or have tested a Codesys based program/processor to the AKD-P-NBEI or EDS file for compatibility.

To work with Ethernet IP protocol drive MUST be either an AKD-P-NAEI ( old hardware ) or AKD-P-NBEI ( new hardware ) as any other model

of the AKD-P motion tasking drive does not support Ethernet IP.

The official processors we have tested and support are Allen Bradley Micrologix 1400, Compactlogix, and Contrologix. The Add On Instructions are exclusive to Allen Bradley ( Compactlogix and Contrologix ).

Micrologix 1400 supports only explicit messaging.

That said, I’ve had a couple of customers using non-AB PLCs such as Omron and Automation Direct with AKD Ethernet IP.

Some customers have stated they were able to get it working but I have no documentation to support their claims or what they specifically did or what models/processors they were using.

As mentioned before the compatibility of the EDS file with your hardware/software is undetermined and I’ve never used personally used it ( as Allen Bradley doesn’t require it ).

I believe some Omron users used it.

There are no add-on instructions available for non-Allen Bradley PLCs/processors.

I’ve directed non-Allen Bradley Ethernet IP users to the following document/application note.

It takes the methods detailed in the AKD Ethernet IP Communications manual ( NOT the AKD Ethernet IP for RSLogix manual ) and

demonstrates the different methods of setting the correct bytes in the command assembly to execute one of the supported methods.

Those customers indicated it was helpful in setting the correct values in the correct bytes ( or reading the correct bytes in the case of the response assembly ).

I hope this helps!

The EDS file has never been tested with Codesys and compatibility can't be guaranteed.

The processors/controller was officially support are Allen Bradley.

We have no add on instructions, sample code, or have every tested a Codesys based program/processor for compatibility to AKD Ethernet IP.

The EDS file is contained in the zip file for the firmware for AKD-P with the NBEI option (AKD-P-NBEI).  This is located on the AKD webpage and the Software/Firmware tab.
