AKM Motor Set up for SC900

An AKM motor with resolver can be operated with an SC900 series amplifier providing that the motor is within the current limitations of the drive. Typically the motor resolver offset must be set to 240. This is in the configuration screen and called COMMOFF.

Connect motor and feedback device per wiring diagram in SC900 manual. For motor phasing use:
AKM SC900
U = R
W = T
V = S

Set POLES = 6
Set COMOFF = 240

AKM motor current is rated in RMS. You must convert the value to PEAK (multiply by 1.414) prior to entering in the SC900 motor current parameter.
