S700 Drive with Renishaw Linear Encoder

Hi,

We use S700 drives to drive linear motors in our measurement systems. Until this time we used Heidenhain encoders (Endat 2.2), but now we would like to change to Renishaw encoders with BiSS C protocol. But we faced some problems. We use linear motors with 32000um pole-pair pitch, resolution of the encoder 50nm with BiSS C 26bit protocol .

We set the feedback type to BiSS C, BISSCNFG was set to 26 according to the protocol, LINRESOL was set tot 50, PGEARI was 32000 and PGEARO was 1. Other parameters were the same like when we used Heidenhain encoder. But with these setting the position value was wrong, if we move the motor (by hand) with 100mm it changes with meters.

Could you give some suggestions for the setup?

Than you in advance,

Laszlo

Hello,
1st: make sure that the motor type is set to a linear motor.

2nd: this values are the right one.-->
