I have question about temperature graph of brake resister.

1. Does the excess temperature mean that how much rise from current temperature?

ex.) at 100%, excess temperature of resistor element is 300 K. So, if initial temperature of resistor is 25 degree in Celsius, 25+300=325 in Celsius is the resistors temperature?

2. Continuous dissipation - How long? Does it mean that resistor works until it reach the ultimate temperature?

The calculated Power Dissipation can be used for selecting a brake resistor or capacitor module.

A part of the brake energy is stored in the DC link bus capacitors of the servo amplifier. If these capacitors are filled, the brake energy is led to the Brake Resistor. The calculated power dissipation PBrems is the possibly maximum value.
